Community Supported Agriculture at Fairville

  Lancaster Farm Fresh CSA
We are happy to be launching a CSA (community supported agriculture) share program with Lancaster Farm Fresh Co-op (LFFC). They connect the community with local, organic farmers so you can enjoy fresh produce year round. This is a Fall share that runs from October 31st for 8 weeks and will include a great variety of the fall harvest! You have the option of a full or half share:
Full Vegetable Share: Eight weekly deliveries of 7-12 Certified Organic seasonal items, beginning the week of October 31. The fall harvest includes hearty cooking greens, winter squash, and storage vegetables for your winter pantry. The full share is suitable for families and cooking enthusiasts and is a great way to share local food on your holiday table!
Cost: $225.00 (which works out to about $28/week)
Half Vegetable Share: Eight weekly deliveries of 4-9 Certified Organic items, beginning the week of October 31. The half share will feature a smaller selection of local seasonal produce. Half shares are perfect for anyone seeking simple, fresh ingredients for preparing fall meals.
Cost: $140.00  (which works out to about $17/week).
You can sign up on their website, and choose the Chadds Ford location. The shares will be available for pick up at the school, on the side porch outside of the Firefly room (accessible from the front gate) on Thursdays from 12-4pm. The CSA program is open to the community, so feel free to spread the word!  Visit LFFC's website for more information.
We are also offering an opportunity for you to support the school's share, by contributing an additional $10 to your share price. If you choose to add this donation, you can sign up directly through the school.
